TRUNK HOSTS NEEDED!

Our annual Trunk or Treat event is scheduled for Friday, 10/28 from 6:00-8:00PM. For those new to Calabash, Trunk or Treat is one of our most beloved annual traditions, and a free event for our school community to enjoy. Please mark your calendars now!

We are currently seeking families who would like to host a trunk. The trunks truly make the event, and it's a wonderful 'home base' to have for your family or group of friends. Based on the space we have, we can accommodate 24-28 trunks before we are full. Once again, there will be no fee to host a trunk and all candy/goodies will be provided to the trunk hosts.

Families who sign on to host a trunk decorate their cars in a specific theme or just general Halloween decor -- your choice! Our hosting families dress up in costume, stand near their decorated trunk, and hand out the provided goodies to Calabash kids and siblings who trick-or-treat from car to car. When the candy runs out, our DJ will be there leading fun games and Halloween dances!

This year's event, like last year's, will take place in the church parking lot on the corner of Mulholland and Deseret, at 4501 Deseret Dr., just down the road from Calabash.

We hope you'll consider hosting a trunk and being part of the magic for all of our kids. In our experience, kids LOVE when their family hosts a trunk. The planning at home and event setup (with early lot access) is always fun and a great way to meet other Calabash families. For all our families who don't wish to host a trunk, but who would like to help offset PTO's event costs, we will gladly accept bags of donated candy (nut-free please!) to use at the event. More information about that to come.
